July 25-27, Mike Skinner Jr. attended an event in Collinsville, Illinois called the GATHERING OF EAGLES. This was the 25th anniversary of the original event in Las Vegas, NV in 1999.
In attendance were over 125 Kenpo stylists there to share techniques and learn from one another.
Mr. Todd Durgan of Phasic Kombatives and Mike Skinner Jr. Mr. Durgan provided two seminars during the event that were unique in content, delivery, and application.

8th Degree Black Belt Dave Hopper.
Dave had a great deal to do with communication leading up to the gathering and his accessibility was one of the main reasons the event was so successful. Dave is out of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ted Sumner is one of the highest-ranking Black Belts in the Tracy system of Kenpo. His knowledge of Seifukujitsu (healing arts) within Kenpo knows no peer. Ted currently resides in Texas.

This award was a complete surprise to me. Only a couple months shy of my 50th birthday in Kenpo. To say that I am humbled by this award is an enormous understatement.
